I have a 1980 Kubota B6100D tractor with a Kubota B219 Loader. The manual says to use 10W-30 MS oil for thr loader. I'm using the newer 10W-30 type oils in it because I couldn't find type MS. Will the newer type oil cause any problems? Also kubota recomends using UDT in there newer tractors. If what I'm using is not right could I switch to UDT. Some 10W-30 might still be in the system and mix with the UDT. Would rather stay with the 10W-30 if it would not harm the system.

Don't worry about the MS as that means multi-service. To go to the UDT might be ok and give better cold weather service but it might mean more potential for seapage or leaks. I'd stick with the 10-w-30 as that is what the seals are used to and possibly designed to work with. ....

Thank you for the reply. That puts my mind at ease. I just had a cylinder and the control valve rebuilt and was not sure what to put in. After all these years I finally know what MS stands for. Again Thank You
